　　2018年1月17日，美国国际贸易委员会(ITC)投票决定对特定物联网设备及其组件(IOT，物联网) - Web浏览器上显示的Web应用程序 (Certain IOT Devices and Components Thereof , IOT, the Internet of Things - Web Applications Displayed on a Web Brower) 启动337调查(调查编码：337-TA-1094)。调查中涉及的产品是电子设备，如智能手机和平板电脑，其中某些类型的网络应用程序可用于在互联网上进行商业交易。

　　2017年11月7日，美国Lakshmi Arunachalam, Ph.D.和 WebXchange, Inc.,向美国ITC提出337立案调查申请，主张对美出口、在美进口和在美销售的该产品侵犯了其专利权(美国注册专利号7,930,340)，请求美国ITC发布有限禁止令、消除令和禁止令。

　　美国国际贸易委员会最终将美国Apple Inc. of Cupertino, CA、美国Facebook, Inc., of Menlo Park, CA、美国Samsung Electronics America, Inc., of Ridgefield Park, NJ和韩国Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., of Seoul, South Korea.列为指定应诉方。

　　美国贸易委员会将于立案后45天内确定调查结束期。除美国贸易代表基于政策原因否决的情况外，美国国际贸易委员会在337案件中发布的救济令自发布之日生效并于发布之日后的第60日起具有终局效力。
